Actually, it helps to think of Banshee as a modern western. The town has several factions vying for a cut of the pie, notably Kai Proctor, a fallen member of the local Amish community turned slaughterhouse-owning crime kingpin.

The cast is great. Old hands such as Ben Cross as Rabbit, Frankie Faison as bar owner Sugar and Ulrich Thomsen as Proctor play it straight and give it credibility.
